Angela Doucet Rand is the Head of Circulation for the Marx Library at the University of South Alabama, and she also provides library and information services for USA Distance campuses.  Angela earned a PhD in Instructional Design and Development at the University of South Alabama.  She received her MLIS from the University of Southern Mississippi.  Online learning and digital librarianship are her particular interests with a research focus on online discussion and social networks.  She is retired from the US Air Force, and she and her husband of 33 years have three grown children.  Angela is an amateur bookbinder and she dabbles in mixed-media collage and bookarts.
